The eWON Cosy is an industrial VPN router designed to provide easy remote access via the Internet to machines and installations at the customer's site or in the field. With the eWON Cosy, OEMs and System Integrators can troubleshoot machines remotely and thus drastically reduce support costs.
Communication made easy
1) The eWON Cosy is connected to the Talk2M server.
2) The engineer uses the eCatcher client remotely to log into his Talk2M account and selects the machine he wants to connect to.
3)A full secure VPN tunnel is now set up between engineer and machine. The engineer can now use all devices connected to the eWON Cosy's LAN port.
FIREWALL FRIENDLY
The eWON Cosy uses an outgoing connection from the LAN (HTTPS port 443 or UDP 1194). The eWON Cosy is isolated from the Internet by working with its own IP address, which is not reachable from the Internet. No IT / firewall changes are needed to establish communication. A major asset that your IT team will appreciate!
Easy to install easy to use
The eWON Cosy is easy to configure with just a few steps using the wizard. The machine does not need to be stopped while you configure the eWON.
Customer retains control
The VPN access can be controlled by a key switch or HMI button to manually enable or disable the connection. This gives the end customer control over who and when has access to their machine.
Fully auditable and traceable
Our cloud-based connection service provides a connection report, so you can be fully traceable of who, when and for how long each user has been connected.
Secure VPN connection
A fully secured SSL-based VPN tunnel is used for all traffic. The information exchanged during communication is encrypted via SSL (2048-bit key) so that only authorized users can connect to the eWON.
Security is a core competence and fully integrated at all levels within the framework of our solution.
Integrated WIFI & mobile communication
WiFi and mobile modems provide internet connectivity, thus avoiding a connection to the factory/company LAN network. They offer free access, high bandwidth, easy implementation (no cabling) and facilitate secure network management.
