The Industrial Remote Access router, eWON Cosy, now supports email and SMS notifications. This means that when an alarm goes off, Cosy users will know where and when the problem occurred in their machine and/or process.
The alarm notification option has been released for eWON Cosy 131 as part of a firmware update that also includes a new modern user interface, WAN fallback and support for 4G connectivity. The new firmware is supported by all Cozy 131 versions (Ethernet, WiFi, 3G and 4G).
Thanks to eWON Cosy, connected machines can literally talk to their users. With the new alarm notification function, users are always informed of critical incidents, regardless of whether they are on the factory floor or in a meeting room. The notifications can be sent by email and SMS, and users can easily configure Cozy to send them directly to those who need to know.
"With eWON Cosy alarm notifications, the machines themselves can inform operators and maintenance engineers when faults and unintended process stops occur," Users can both free up staff and save time spent waiting for operators to alert staff and process problems.
