With the LOGO! 8, Siemens is launching the new generation of the successful LOGO! logic module. This new module is suitable for almost every customer requirement, with simplified operation, a new display and full communication options via Ethernet. The web server application makes everything very easy. A communication module ensures remote communication via a mobile phone network and thus increases the application possibilities of the LOGO! logic module.
New generation logic modules
- 8 basic units for all voltages, with or without display
- All units are equipped with an Ethernet interface as standard, as narrow as the LOGO! 6 (4TE) and the connections are compatible with previous versions

Display with new look and feel
- A new, 6 line display with 16 characters per line. This means twice as many characters per message, making it possible to clearly formulate message texts

- Selectable white, yellow or red backlighting for various new options, such as optically accentuating alarms or warnings
Ethernet for All – the new standard for LOGO! 8
- Integrated Ethernet interface for the entire LOGO! 8 family. This allows LOGO! modules to communicate with each other and with all S7 systems
- The Ethernet interface ensures that no special cable is required for programming and for the TDE; only a standard Ethernet cable is needed

Integrated web server - it couldn't be easier
- Integrated web server in all base units for monitoring and controlling with LOGO! via WLAN and the Internet; password protected and suitable for all browsers
- The web server is easy to configure via mouse click in the software; without HTML knowledge
- You have the option to match the web server display to the LOGO! or TDE display. Check the web server box – done!
- LOGO! 8 can be controlled with a smartphone, tablet or PC with the same 'look and feel' as the LOGO! 8 or TDE; LOGO! 8 router connection required.
Remote communication via mobile network
- All-new – text message communication for notifications and remote control via mobile phone using the LOGO! CMR module
- Text messages for active automatic notifications e.g. system status
- Position recognition and tracking via GPS, for example for cost-efficient container tracking and reporting via text messages to a central office
New text display
- The new LOGO! TDE with two Ethernet interfaces
- The installation dimensions have remained the same
- Thanks to the Ethernet connection, there is no longer a 10-meter limit to the LOGO!
- Improved display with six lines and 20 characters per line and now has twice as many characters as before for text messages
- Like the LOGO! display, the new TDE offers selectable white, orange or red backlighting to visually emphasize alarms or statuses
