The KR 600 FORTEC closes the gap between the KR 500 FORTEC and KR 1000 titan and completes the integrated heavy-duty portfolio.
Strong, Stronger, KR FORTEC. In its new heavy-duty series, KUKA Roboter GmbH completes the heavy segment. The new robots cover the payload range of 360-600 kg and thus close the gap to the already proven KR 1000 titan.
In the KR Fortec series, KUKA has used proven technology for the customer and product requirements of today and tomorrow. This has given them a payload range that was previously not available on the market from a single supplier.
25 robot types cover a payload range of 360-600 kg with a reach of up to 3326 mm. In addition to the standard robots, KUKA offers variants for ceiling mounting, machine tools and the foundry sector.
Together with the KR 1000 titan, the new KR FORTEC series now forms an integrated heavy-duty portfolio.
Power and dynamism: the name says it all
The name KR Fortec, derived from strength and forte, stands for power and dynamics. As for the KR QUANTEC series, the TEC part of the word represents KUKA's leadership in technology and innovation.
Compared to the previous series (KR 360/500), the advantages of the KR FORTEC family are clear. The conversion of the in-line wrist from belt to gear technology eliminates the need for annual belt replacement and reduces maintenance costs. For the same payload and range, KUKA was able to increase the axis speeds by up to 18% compared to the previous series. This significantly reduces cycle times.
The unchanged interfaces simplify planning and enable user-friendly conversion to the KR FORTEC. The consistent identical parts strategy also reduces maintenance and spare parts costs.
Design enables new cell designs
Thanks to its compact design without protruding parts and its more streamlined appearance, it is suitable for use in tight cells, as well as in completely new cell concepts. The KR FORTEC is also optimized for use on linear cells. With the KR Fortec series, KUKA continues its systematic use of energy supply systems with the proven K box, to ensure durability and ease of replacement in the event of service work for this new generation of heavy-duty robots.
In the payload range of 360-600 kg, customers can now work with the more streamlined KR FORTEC robots. The 25 different product variants of the KR FORTEC series offer the highest degree of flexibility for planning the optimal automation solution. The heavy-duty robots set new standards for innovative robotics and energy-efficient drive technology - for groundbreaking automation and maximum customer satisfaction.
