MELSERVO MR-J4 amplifier with multi-network interface

MELSERVO MR-J4 amplifier with multi-network interface

Mitsubishi Electric's MR-J4 servo amplifier series has a built-in multi-network interface called "Servo Open Network". It makes these user-friendly drives compatible with all relevant motion control systems worldwide.

Machine manufacturers who offer their solutions worldwide, will benefit from the MELSERVO's open network connection feature MR-J4 amplifier series. Communication is simplified by offering mainstream industrial Ethernet protocols including CC-Link IE Field®, Profinet®, EtherCAT® and Ethernet/IP™.

Another important advantage of the servo control systems from Mitsubishi Electric is the level of OEM support that is globally recognized is available. On-site support from the manufacturer is offered during commissioning and maintenance. For this purpose Mitsubishi Electric maintains a worldwide network of service partners and subsidiaries.

Network protocol selection is simple and user-friendly thanks to the plug & play concept applied to the servo amplifiers. A quick start guide is available for each of the networks in addition to immediate useful and extensible sample projects and function blocks, supplemented with flexible connection options.

The servo systems with a power range from 0.05 to 22 kW are very compact and take up to 50% less volume than comparable products. They are also supported by a large selection of high-performance motors power densities; provides maximum design flexibility and efficiency with a minimal footprint.

Features like the second generation vibration suppression function, "OneTouch Tuning" or automatic Real-time adjustment of servo parameters during operation accelerates the commissioning and guarantees positioning with maximum precision and safety based on international standards. "This shortens, for example, also the cycle times of the machine,"

User friendly and space saving

All MR-J4 series controllers are equipped with various predictive and preventive maintenance functions. The Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) functionality enables early detection of changes in machine vibration and friction possible, causing mechanical drive components such as ball bearings, belts and gears can be replace before they fail. Indicating maintenance needs in advance leads to increased machine capacity by preventing downtime and maintenance time to shorten, all of which leads to improved productivity and product quality. "The flexibility and ease of use; space-saving design, predictive maintenance features and excellent price / performance ratio make the MR-J4 a safe investment for our customers."
