The new integrated servo motors and drivers offer an optimal, space-saving solution where space in the control cabinet is limited. With the built-in EtherCAT port, the servo motor can be connected to the NJ controller and thus fully integrated into the Sysmac automation platform.
The system is powered from a central power supply. This DC power supply has a 400 V 3-phase input and delivers 20 or 40 A.
Integrated servo motors are a flexible solution, ideal for solving space problems in the control cabinet and reduce both wiring and installation time. The central DC power supply provides up to 90% space savings in the control cabinet compared to a standard solution. Since the motor control is no longer in the control cabinet, but directly on the motor, electromagnetic interference is also excluded, something you inevitably encounter when using a 'classic' PWM converter.
Tuning of the integrated servo and power supply is done via special IM-Tool software which is supplied free of charge.
