Attractive Human - Machine Interface: The ETT Multi-touch Series
High-performance Operating Panels with PCT technology
With the ETT series, SIGMATEK is launching control panels that optimally combine the multi-touch functionality of hardware and software . The modern HMIs enable new and intelligent operating concepts that provide greater ease of use for the operator.
Equipped with an ARM-based EDGE2 Technology dual - core processor, the ETT panels offer high performance ( 2x 800 MHz) with low energy consumption . For internal program and data memory, 512 MB DDR RAM is available, and an additional 512 Mbyte memory ( microSD) for data logging .
Recipes and alarm management are also standard features , as is a 2D and 3D graphics accelerator . Even with graphically complex pages, the ETT is in its element .
In the new SIGMATEK HMI, PCT ( projective capacitive touch technology) is used , which protects the sensors on the back of the robust surface of the glass front ( IP65). An input of up to 10 fingers , as well as the use of pens and thin gloves are possible . For now , there are five ETT screen sizes : 8.4 - 10.4 - 12.1 - 15 and 19 - inch in the classic 4 : 3 format .
The thinly constructed panels - with an installation depth of only 48 mm - can be mounted directly on the machine or control console , they can also be integrated into the control cabinet and are therefore suitable for a wide range of applications . The connections are specially selected so that the HMIs fit into every machine and configuration: 2x Ethernet, 2x USB 2.0 , 1x USB OTG ( On-the - Go) and 1x CAN bus . There are 8 digital inputs and outputs on board , which can be used to control and signal, for example, a toggle switch or signal towers . The ETTs do not require a fan and all connections are on the bottom , which simplifies installation and maintenance .
Reliability , robustness and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC ) are essential features of SIGMATEK HMIs . The integrated 4 mm glass surface is completely dustproof and easy to clean . During development, great attention was paid to the display and sensors , to ensure that they are suitable for industry and durable .
Logo backlight of added value
Externally , the ETT multi-touch panels have a modern and simple frameless design. A backlit logo gives the new panel a special touch. The logo backlight can be controlled via an application and customized in any color ( RGB). The ETT can therefore be perfectly integrated into the corporate identity of the machine . The logo also lights up when the touchscreen goes into standby mode . It is also possible for the user to program an alarm in the software so that the logo flashes when an error occurs. A smart and distinctive feature with added value
Even the Software Speaks Multi-touch
In addition to the high performance of the panels , the efficiency of the visualization software is an essential factor . Only when the interaction between hardware and software is perfect , multi-touch is a fully integrated operating concept . The operating system and software must support multi-touch functions and be configurable . The SIGMATEK panels come with a Linux - based real-time operating system and the object-oriented development tool LASAL , which is well equipped for creating intuitive 2 to 10 - finger applications.
The application software can be easily implemented with the packages LASAL CLASS and/or LASAL SCREEN . The HMI application is modular and scalable, so that it is suitable for different panel sizes and can be easily changed and expanded. Various machine sizes or types can thus use a uniform user interface with an identical look and feel.
